Registration

Includes conference materials, continental breakfast, luncheon and reception

 

You can pick up your registration materials on Wednesday, May 5th from 4:00-6:30 pm at the Hyatt Regency. If you can't pick up your registration materials on Wednesday, please let us know and we will make arrangements for you to pick them up on Thursday morning.

 

Your registration must be received by Friday, April 16th

Parents/Students

To encourage parental and student participation, each paying attendee may bring one parent or one student at no charge. Each additional parent or student will be charged $75.

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received by April 30th in order to receive a refund. There will be no exceptions. After this date we have to pay based on the count given regardless if you attend or not. A $10.00 handling fee will be deducted from all refunds received before April 30th.

The Dubliner Restaurant & Pub

Phoenix Park Hotel, 4 F St. Washington, DC (202) 737-3773. The popular Irish pub has a great selection of beers and authentic fare such as Irish Beef Stew, shepherds pie, fish and chips and a variety of daily specials. Live music is offered nightly and attracts a local and touristy crowd.

 

Johnny's Half Shell

400 North Capitol St. NW Washington, DC (202) 737-0400. The restaurant serves a nice selection of seafood dishes and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

 

Monocle on Capitol Hill

107 D St NE Washington, DC. (202) 546-4488. The steak and seafood restaurant has been a favorite for members of Congress and Capitol Hill staffers since the 1960s. The Monocle is the closest restaurant to the U.S. Capitol building and Union Station.

 

Sonoma Restaurant + Wine Bar

223 Pennsylvania Ave SE Washington, DC. (202) 544-8088. The restaurant and wine bar offer a cozy atmosphere in their convenient Capitol Hill location. The menu features wood-grilled meats and seafood, as well as smaller plates.

 

Two Quail

320 Massachusetts Ave NE. Washington, DC (202) 543-8030. The restaurant is known as one of the most romantic in the city due to its unique Victorian row house setting. It is a great place to celebrate a special occasion.

Directions from Hyatt to 601 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW

Conference Committee & Board Meeting will be held in the conference room at 601 PA Avenue, NW, Suite 900 of the South Building.

 

From the Hyatt – leave the hotel and turn right – walk up New Jersey Avenue (street Hyatt is on) to Louisiana Avenue walking towards the Capitol. At the Capitol corner (Charlie Palmer Restaurant/101 Constitution Building), turn right onto Constitution Avenue, which turns into Pennsylvania Avenue, and walk down to 601, staying on the right side of the street as you are walking away from the Capitol. You will pass the Department of Labor, the News Museum and then you will see the Capitol Grill on the corner – 601 is right next to the Capitol Grill.

 

If you are driving – there is a public parking garage on 6th street – turn right when you get to the News Museum corner, it is right behind the Capitol Grill Restaurant.  

 

There is a guard inside and you will need to sign in - he/she can give you additional directions if you need them. For the South Building, take the bank of elevators on the right hand side. 

It will take between 15-20 minutes – depending on how fast you walk. It is a short cab ride also.
