NAPSEC Membership Benefits and Services

A Message from the Executive Director/CEO

Being a NAPSEC Member means many things. It means that your program supports NAPSECís mission to represent private special education centers and their leaders. Together, we promote high quality programs for individuals with disabilities and their families and we advocate for access to the continuum of alternative placements and services. It means your program is active in the legislative process and wants to impact issues concerning private special education and the individuals and families you serve. It also means that you realize what being a part of a national association can do for your organization.

This page outlines the benefits and discounts available to your program with your membership in NAPSEC.

The NAPSEC Board of Directors and I encourage you to take advantage of the many perks and privileges described here. Please contact us if you need information or assistance on national issues, educational data, or the association itself. We are always happy to assist you!

UST - Unemployment Services Trust

Unemployment Services Trust. The National Association of Private Special Education Centers (NAPSEC) has partnered with the Unemployment Services Trust (UST) since 2012 to help our members lower the cost of unemployment at their nonprofit. Founded by nonprofits for nonprofits, UST is a grantor Trust, owned by its members, that has spent the past 30 years helping members carefully manage their claims costs through ongoing education, expert claims management, and reserve building.

Nonprofits have the exclusive opportunity to take advantage of a federal law that lets them opt out of the state unemployment tax and only pay the dollar-for-dollar costs of benefits paid to their former employees. For organizations with 10 or more employees, this can mean thousands of dollars in savings. For more information, contact one of USTís Unemployment Cost Advisors at (888) 249- 4788 or fill out a complimentary Savings Evaluation here.

Not quite ready to fill out a Savings Evaluation or talk to a Cost Advisor? Sign up for an upcoming webinar and learn more about the alternatives available to 501(c)(3) agencies.
